(This was written, probably around a month ago. That shows how hard it is for me to just go to an internet shop and type in a blog, uh, yeah. )
One day, I desperately wanted to go out of our house, go to an internet shop, and type a blog. But I have some house chores to do. I have to cook lunch and merienda for my siblings and myself. I also have to do my own laundry. And because we don’t have a computer at home, I had to write down my thoughts on this intermediate pad I found on my brother’s things.
I’m so bored. Because of this storm, classes were suspended last Wednesday and Thursday, so I had to stay at home and, uh, help out in transferring our things to elevated areas. I live in a city that has the title for “the first city in Metro Manila to declare classes suspended due to floods that come just a few hours, no, minutes after the storm came in.” So we ‘camped-out’ for two straight days at the second floor of our house. Yep, we ate, slept, talked, made music from the keyboard/guitar, ate, slept, talked, draw Lolita Goth on a one-fourth sheet of paper, ate, slept, talked, read manga, ate, slept, talked…
What mad things worse (for a person like me I guess) is the fact that our TV has been out for the last 2 months. (Voice in my head: TWO MONTHS WITHOUT A TV?!?!?! *growl like Jamir from Slapshock*)
It was a torture for a TV person like me. I missed watching all those reality shows on ETC (America’s Next Top Model, Search for the Next Doll, beauty and the Geek, etc.), cartoons on Jack TV (The Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad), MTV, Arirang (I watch Arirang because they have English subtitles for their shows), Local TV networks, or whatever show I encounter when I go channel surfing. I miss channel surfing.
My mom, who was, uhm, patient (???) enough to give PHILIPS a MONTH to fix the TV finally made a call yesterday (Thursday) after exactly a month of waiting for the TV to get fixed. And bases from what I heard, PHILIPS forgot to bring our TV back to us. (*growl like Jamir from Slapshock*) oh well, the TV is coming home on Monday.
Phew! Now I’m a wee bit calmer. Thanks to this Intermediate pad I found among my brother’s things.
Another reason why I wanted to go to an internet shop is to make my new blogsite. My first blog, http://thegirlinblack.blogdrive.com, would always look weird when I open it. It, uh, expanded (???) which made my blogs look like a series of one-liners. I couldn’t even find Jean Calude’s tag about his new blogsite.
So here I am in this new blogsite. I hope this’ll make blogging easier for an occasional blogger like me.
Since this is my new blog, I’d like to give myself this:
NEW BLOG’S RESOLUTION\
§ Not having a computer at home SHOULD NOT be an excuse to have shitty blogs.
§ Try to make your blogs worthy enough to be read by my fellow bloggers.
§ Use an intermediate pad, or any kind of paper, in case of a sudden attack of ‘brain blog frenzy’. Jot down thoughts whenever you feel the urge to blog in the middle of something or if you don’t have money to go to an internet shop.
§ Be proud of your blogs. Place it among your ‘credentials’ in your online accounts.
§ Study the art of HTML.(Applicable when customizing blogs)
§ Never crowd your blog with online quizzes that make your site look crappy.
§ Your blogsite should be a medium for people to know you better.
So much for my sudden urge. Yeah, laugh at me now.
