Well, there’s a lot of first’s for this year’s competition.
For the first time since the start of UAAP Cheerdance Competition, UST failed to land a spot in the top three. I have to say that their performance was great, I love the Vishnu part of their performance (the multiple hands illusion ek ek) and their yellow and orange cloth, but the group made too many mistakes. Wait, they’re the ones who did the walking pyramid right? Sheesh, my memory’s failing me. I must watch Youtube videos later tonight.
Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion! Yay! Finally, after two years of ranking fourth! Their performace was great, simple but very effective. They made no mistakes either (as far as I know). And oh, I love their skirts. The flowy, soft material they used is perfect for their broadway inspired performance. I expected (and dreaded) to see a group perform to the tune of Nobody or Michael Jackson. Ateneo did Jackson - OMG A FLOATING MOONWALK! Nifty.

For the first time in years, I got my tickets in advance. That is, after spending 7 hours in line. Yep, 7 hours just for two Upper Box B tickets.
Backstory: My best friends and I are fans of UAAP Cheering Competition. Last year, my bestfriend (who is a part of the volleyball team) was only able to get one ticket from UPD. We needed three. So we decided to go on an adventure and went to Araneta Center at 4am (on the day of competition) to get tickets.
Long line is long at 4am. To think that tickets will be released at 9am. By 6am, Araneta was crowded and people were starting to get impatient. It was hot, and some people cut in line every now and then.
By 8am, people were really agitated. No guards, no organizers. Just us fans waiting to get tickets. Nearby, a scalper was trying to sell tickets for insane prices.

There are two things I hate about long weekends: one, the last day of the long weekend and two, bouncing back from ‘vacation mode’ to work/school mode.
Don’t get me wrong. I like holidays. It gives me free time to do other stuff. Like this past weekend, I went to Divisoria to get some new stuff for my sewing projects, got to bond with my boyfriend, went to a party, almost finished a lace project, and played with my rabbit. It was fun. Monday came and I felt really uneasy about going to work the next day. Why do good things come to an end? Lol, too much dramu. I’m just feeling lazy.
Bouncing back to work mode isn’t easy. My body clock’s still set to waking up a little late. Not that I woke up late this morning - I actually got up pretty early (surprise surprise) only to be welcomed by nasty traffic in EDSA. Yeah, I was late. Rawr, I need a boost.
God, now I’m sleepy. No, no. I need to convince myself that I’m not sleepy.
On to my second yakult for the day! Feel good drink!
Mom: Anak, gaano katagal ka nang nagtatrabaho?
Me: 2 months pa lang.
Mom: 2 months pa lang ba? Feeling ko kasi ang tanda mo na.
Me: Err…
